About the Role
At Rive, we’re building an enterprise-grade AI platform, and we’re looking for a DevOps / Platform Operations Engineer who enjoys keeping systems running smoothly and helping teams ship with confidence. This is a hands-on role focused on cloud infrastructure and operations, with opportunities — when needed — to contribute directly to service development.
If you like solving production problems, improving reliability, and occasionally getting your hands into application code, this role offers a great balance of operations and engineering.
What You’ll Do
Help run and improve our cloud infrastructure on cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes
Maintain infrastructure using Terraform and automation
Support Java, Python, and Next.js services in production
Improve CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows
Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and help resolve incidents
Collaborate closely with engineering teams on reliability, security, and performance
Contribute to service development when needed, including bug fixes, improvements, and operational enhancements
Automate repetitive tasks and improve day-to-day operations
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering
Hands-on experience with GCP or Azure/AWS
Working knowledge of Kubernetes
Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code tools
Experience supporting production applications
Familiarity with Java and Python services
Exposure to frontend deployments (Next.js or similar)
Comfortable troubleshooting Linux-based systems
A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and GKE
Experience with AI/ML or data-heavy systems
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
Knowledge of container security best practices
Scripting experience (Bash or Python)
